Mary and Bill Kennedy both grew up in Billings Montana. They have been actively involved in the community for the last 30 years. They raised two daughters who are one their own now, and they are loving the role of "Grandparent-hood" as they have two grandsons that keep them very busy in their spare time.
They have loved wines and over the years they like to try new wines, especially from smaller wineries around the world, and explore different varietals. Bill loves to cook, Mary likes to bake, so pairing the wine store and a deli with catering was an excellent choice for their next careers. Bill's family were "truck farmers" on the Billings Bench. His Uncle John Grano and Uncle Dominic Gesuale were great wine makers. There was always a wonderful wine fermenting in their cellars. Bill remembers the days of picking the greens for dandelion wine his grandparents made. Mary's mother came from a large family — also farmers — and cooking for large groups of people just became second nature. Food, family, and get-togethers have been a huge part of Mary and Bill's lives.
Kennedy's brings together all of their experiences and fondest memories. Finding new and exciting wines has been a fun challenge — one that they like to share with their customers. Food, family and fun is what you will find at Kennedy's!
